In honor of Francis Coppola's film-making heritage, we bring you Director's Zinfandel, a lush, velvety wine endowed with lively flavors of cherries, berries, and plums, fragrant spices, and notes of pepper and oak. Pairs with barbecued ribs, petite filet and cheesy scalloped potatoes.

Coppola has swung for the fences and cleared them with this charming Zinfandel, blended with 20% Petite Sirah. Brown sugar, clove and nutmeg give warmth and depth to the juicy red and black berry flavors. Succulent and supple, the finish completes the picture, adding a sprinkling of black pepper to the mix.

More interesting, juicy and seductive is the 2012 Zinfandel Director’s Cut. Its healthy dark ruby color is followed by attractive briary, raspberry and black cherry fruit, medium to full body, no hard edges and a luscious, supple mouthfeel and finish. A pretty, tasty red that delivers the goods, it can be enjoyed over the next 3-4 years.
